Today’s Holy Spirit Love Note:
Never forget that everything today makes a difference – and often in ways that you will never see or understand this side of the age to come. When you judge everything from your perspective, you cannot possibly count all of the ways, all of the ramifications, of every single action, every single word – or every single moment when you didn’t speak. All of it makes a difference. All of it is important.
And yes, that difference will not always be what you would describe as a positive thing but don’t let that stop you. Let go of the outcome, remember? You don’t need to analyse everything or try and figure out all of the pieces that are playing together. You couldn’t do it well even if you tried really hard so why waste your time and energy on doing so?
Far better to simply move with me, explore the things I nudge you to explore, and then simply be. As you do that, you are helping to usher in the Kingdom – even those times when a conversation doesn’t appear to be about Kingdom stuff, yes. Just because you’re not wearing a badge announcing your allegiance to me doesn’t mean that your conversations aren’t making a difference.
Stop believing the lie that my name needs to be squeezed into every conversation in order for it to make an impact for the Kingdom. Share my love as I nudge you to do so. That’s going to look different in different contexts. And yes, give an answer when you’re asked for one but those times when you’re simply chatting about the day to day happenings of life, allow that to simply be what it is.
I don’t keep score. I simply invite you into relationship. You and the whole world, one nudge or whisper at a time. All of it makes a difference. All of it counts.
