Today’s Holy Spirit Love Note:
I want you to be prepared today to share my heart. You don’t need all the answers but you do need my answers for today, for this moment. My answers for today? I am love. Jesus is the exact representation of my being. Jesus came to correct humanity’s picture of who I am and how I want to be known. And this is about relationship, not religion.
Religion was your invention, relationship is my invitation. It really is all about love. It’s always been about love. Jesus didn’t need to die for me to be reunited with you. He didn’t need to die so that I could love you again. I am love and there is nothing that can separate you from my love, ever. Me loving you is not what the cross is about, not in the way you think at least.
The cross says, “this is how much I love you.” The cross says, “there is nothing I won’t do, no path or route I won’t take, for you to understand what you mean to me.” The cross says, “this is how serious I am about our relationship.” The cross says, “this is how important your identity as my child is to me.”
And yes, I am playing the long game. I am incredibly patient. From your perspective this is all taking too long. You don’t understand why it needs to be this way but you can trust me. Trust that everything is falling into place at just the right time.
Not everyone is going to understand your ability to trust but that doesn’t make it any less valid or real. And you don’t need everyone to understand you. You simply need to be you, in relationship with me, moment by moment and day by day. I understand you. I see you and know you. You are seen, known, understood and loved by the one who spoke the stars into place. What more could you possibly need?
