Today’s Holy Spirit Love Note:
Every moment of your life has been building to this moment. I saw this moment as I spoke the universe into being. I knew you even before the earth made its first rotation. Every hair on your head is numbered and my thoughts concerning you are even more numerous than the stars in the sky.
And you are free to move through this world however you would like to. How can I see and know all things and give you the freedom to choose? That’s one of the great mysteries of life and not something you need to try and get your head around.
Instead, simply trust that both statements are true and can be held in beautiful tension. You didn’t choose where you were born or to whom you were born. You didn’t choose which schools you went to or the friends who would come into your life. You didn’t choose the body that you move through the world in.
And yes, you are the product of the choices and decisions made by others but you have more freedom to choose than you realise. You can choose not to be dictated to by circumstances. You can choose to get up and begin again. You can choose to move through today with me and in so doing, embrace your identify and privileges as a child of the King!
Who are you? Do you really know? What lights you up and makes your heart sing? Explore with me the way you are wired. You are not an accident. You were fearfully and wonderfully made by the one who counts each and every breath you take.
Pause in this moment, this precious moment, and let the reality of your identity seep deep into your core. Every moment has been building towards this moment so linger here a while. Allow the weightiness of this moment with me to imprint upon your soul. And be still and know that I am God.
