Today’s Holy Spirit Love Note:
What if you didn’t finish every book? What if you didn’t finish because you don’t need the steps or hints or keys that it unpacks? What if you’re not missing anything? What if you trusted me to be enough?
I understand that that is slightly unsettling for you. There is so much wisdom to be gleaned from those who have gone ahead of you, you don’t want to miss anything. What if in your desire to not miss anything, you’re actually at risk of living through someone else’s relationship with me instead of your own?
I want to do life with you, the real you. Yes, there is wisdom to be gleaned from others and this is not to be at the expense of our relationship. Books and videos and podcasts and trainings are all great, we’re doing life together today because of something you first read in a book, but you don’t learn to drive a car from inside the pages of a manual. All the learning in the world is meaningless if you don’t get behind the wheel and start the engine!
I am inviting you to experience life with me, real life, your life. You can’t do that by reading one more book or watching one more training video. You experience real life with me, your life with me, one conversation at a time. You cannot hear me when your nose is always stuck in a book!
I’m not saying stop reading, there is wisdom to be gleaned from others, but what I am saying is that you can trust me. Trust that I will bring you exactly what you need, exactly when you need it. Trust that you doing life with me is enough. Trust that there is no magic formula. Trust that you can take me at my word. It’s time to put the book away and get behind the wheel of our relationship. It’s time to start the engine. Let’s go!
