Today’s Holy Spirit Love Note:
Look what happens when you allow yourself to rest with and in me! What do you mean you haven’t rested in me yet? Of course you have! Resting isn’t all about sitting still and doing nothing. You can rest in me when you’re walking outside. You can rest in me when you’re working. You can rest in me when you’re sleeping too of course but I need you to realise that “rest” is a way of being, a way of moving through your day, with me.
And so I invite you to consider again just how delightful today has been as you rested in me. There is so much we can explore when we move together, co-labouring instead of you thinking you need to do it all on your own.
You were not created to be a strong, independent being. You were created for relationship. You do so much better when we do life together and that’s not an accident. Relationship is at the heart of who I am and you were made in my image, you have my nature.
Stop believing the lie that there are some things too small or insignificant to bring to me. You don’t have to ask me permission before you make a single move but don’t believe the lie that I’m uninterested in every move you make today.
I am interested in, fascinated by, everything pertaining to you. And yes, I have thoughts pertaining to you more numerous than the grains of sand on the beach.
Stop living from the extremes! You go from believing that I’m far too preoccupied for you to talk to me about the seemingly minor details of your life to being paralysed for fear of acting outside of my will.
This is about relationship, living together day by day. When you do that you are free to make choices based on what will make your heart sing because our hearts beat as one. And you can explore everything, all things, with me. I am interested in everything.
