Today’s Holy Spirit Love Note:
Just because something feels uncomfortable or unfamiliar doesn’t automatically mean it is bad for you, going wrong or outside of my best for you. As you grow and stretch and move forward into our adventure together, you’re going to face moments that feel new and unexpected.
It’s time to expect the unexpected! As you allow me to move in your life in unexpected ways, I can bring wonder and delight. If you insist upon controlling every single moment, dictating and prescribing, you limit me.
Yes, you heard me correctly … you have the potential to limit me, not because I am “less than” but because of how I choose to move in the world. Relationship, not religion. I choose to limit myself by only moving with you. Yes, it’s the long way round but I am playing the long game. I know what I’m doing.
And so yes, the very best way to see and experience everything I have for you, to step into my absolute best, is to let go of control. Let go of your control over the outcomes. Let go of your very specific expectations. Expect only that I will show up, that I never stop showing up, and I want to do life with you.
Moving and growing together is my heart’s desire, closer than the air that you breathe. And sometimes it’s going to look a bit messy. Not everything is going to fit into your neat and tidy box. Are you okay with that?
And if you’re not okay with that but you’d like to be, let me help you. I hear you. I know the desires of your heart. I am good, I am your Dad, and I will not let you down.
